‘HISTERIA’ SINOPSIS ‘Histeria’ adalah sebuah kisah seram yang berlaku di salah sebuah sekolah terpencil. Enam orang pelajar nakal (Alissa, Tini, Marina, Murni, Junita, dan Kerek) yang menamakan kumpulan mereka sebagai ‘The Pink Ladies’, berpura-pura terkena histeria, hingga terpaksa dipanggil bomoh untuk memulihkan mereka. Namun tindakan mereka itu mengundang masalah lain apabila mereka berenam dikenakan denda, membersihkan kawasan sekolah selama seminggu ketika cuti semester. Mereka ditempatkan di satu dorm yang kelihatan menyeramkan. Terdapat seorang pelajar baru (Zeta) menyertai mereka. Kejadian demi kejadian yang misteri dan menakutkan dialami oleh mereka semua. Ianya bermula selepas Junita mengambil “sesuatu” yang bukan miliknya. Junita telah mengekori tukang kebun sekolah menanam sesuatu di bawah sebatang pokok. Tanpa dapat menghidu bahaya yang bakal menimpa mereka semua, Junita kemudiannya menggali tanah tersebut lalu mengambil barang yang terdiri daripada sehelai kain kuning, tulang, rambut dan sirih. Keadaan bertambah celaru dan mengerikan apabila seorang demi seorang daripada mereka dibunuh kejam oleh satu lembaga yang berkeliaran di kawasan sekolah tersebut. Ada yang mati dirobek, ada pula digantung, dikelar leher dan sebagainya. Yang terselamat hanyalah Murni. Murni ditahan bagi membantu siasatan. Namun tiada cukup bukti bagi mengaitkan Murni dalam pembunuhan tersebut. Dan Pakar Psikiatri pula mengandaikan Murni pengidap Paranoid Schizophrenic, sejenis penyakit mental. Apakah yang sebenarnya berlaku? Benarkah Murni yang membunuh? Saksikan dalam ‘Histeria’….

‘Histeria’ Production Note ‘Histeria’ revolves around 8 school girls who play to be hysterical and end up it is come true when one of the girls possessed by the creature called ‘Hantu Raya’. By using the girl’s body, the ‘Hantu Raya’ kills the rest of them.
Director Well known James Lee is an independent filmmaker, now is trying to venture a mainstream film making. Among his credits are ‘The Beautiful Washing Machine’, ‘Before We Fall in Love Again’ (black & white), ‘Things We Do When We Fall In Love’, ‘Room To Let’, ‘Snipers’, ‘Bernafas Dalam Lumpur’ and a lot more. His ‘Before We Fall in Love Again’ just won the Best Asean Feature Award at the Bangkok International Film Festival. He won the same award and FIPRESCI Prize for ‘The Beautiful Washing Machine’ last two years.
Synopsis
'Histeria' is a horror story which takes place at a private college evolving around this of 7 students Alissa, Tini, Malini, Murni, Maryam, Jenny and Kerek who so call name themselves the "Pink Flamingo". One day they decided to pull a prank and pretended to be hysterical. They were so convincing until school officials had to call a witch doctor to cure them. But finally they found out the actual truth and they were punished to clean the college premises for a week during their semester break. They were placed in a dorm which seemed very unplesant. A new student wanted to join the group but before she would be accepted they had to test her so, they thought up of this test that she had to sleep in a lab which is said to be haunted while the other 7 students try to scare her.
But suprisingly weird things are actually happening to them all. So many mysterious occurances just seem to be taking place. It seemed to have started after Jenny took "Something" which was not hers. She followed the gardener and planted it under a strange tree. Without knowing the consequences to her actions and how it would affect them all she started digging a hole and placed a something wrapped in yellow cloth into it. Things got more mysterious after that and many unimaginable things started to happen. One by one of them died a horrific death. The only survivor let was Murni and unfortunately all eveidence led to her as being the prime suspect and who had enough of a motive to do all the killings. A Psychiatric Specialist had confirmed that she was suffereing from a mental disorder of, Paranoid Schizophrenic. Is it true that Murni had killed them? Who is the real killer behind these murders? Wait for the appearence of 'Histeria' at theatres near you.
